Halliburton Contract Break-Up and Bid

CNN reports (from a Wall Street Journal report) that the US Army plans to break the massive Halliburton contract for a variety of services in Iraq into at least six smaller contracts, and put those contracts out for general bidding. The goal is to have the bidding completed by the end of the year.

FYI - if you're looking to do business with the US military, check out the Commerce Dept.'s Bureau of Industry and Security site and their Defense Trade Resource Links.
